THE RUBBERWOOD CLONING TYPES THAT ARE PREFERRED TO PLANT IN EASTERN THAILAND
Climate adaptation: Eastern provinces have slightly different rainfall and terrain than the south, so clones like RRIT 251 and RRIT 408 are favored.
Dual-purpose farming: Many farmers want both latex income (first 20–30 years) and timber harvest after, so clones with straight trunks and fast wood volume are chosen.
Industrial demand: The region is near furniture, MDF, and pellet factories — so clones with good wood density and consistency are preferred.
